Let’s Hello is a service operated by Fix Investments LLC (“we”, “us”). It helps a person text their friends to see who is free to hang out. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- From members: your mobile number and first name, and the names, mobile numbers and optional notes (such as a city or how you met) of the friends you choose to add.
- Contact matching: if you choose to check your contacts, we compare their phone numbers with our members to show you who is already on Let’s Hello. We do not keep the list you upload. We store only the people you then choose to add.
- From friends who receive texts: your mobile number, the text messages you send to a Let’s Hello number, and whether you have opted in or out.
- Availability: a free or busy status that you choose to set (in the app, or by texting FREE or BUSY), and a city if you choose to add one. Your status is shown to members who have you as a friend. Statuses expire on their own.
- Calendar (members only, optional): if you connect a calendar link, we read only the start and end times of events to work out whether you are busy. We do not store event names, locations, guests or notes.
- Plan links: if you answer a plan through its link, we store the name you type and your answer, and a cookie so you can change it. We do not ask for or store your phone number. Your first name and answer are visible to the plan’s maker and to others who open the link.
- Early-access sign-up: if you enter your mobile number on our home page, we store it and the date, and whose sign-up link you used if any, so we can text you once when your spot is ready and hold your place in line.
- Delivery information: whether a text was delivered, as reported by our messaging provider.
How we use it
Only to run the service: sending hangout invitations and welcome messages, showing the account holder who replied and who is free, showing you the status of the friend who invited you, honoring opt-outs, and keeping the service secure and working.
Other members can see whether a phone number in their own contacts belongs to a member. They cannot see your friends, your plans or your messages with other people.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not share mobile numbers, text messaging opt-in data or consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
- We do not send advertising texts.
Who we share it with
We use service providers to operate Let’s Hello, including Twilio (to send and receive text messages) and Replit (to host the app and database). They process information only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Text messaging
You receive texts only after you have agreed to them. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, START to rejoin, or HELP for help.
Keeping and deleting information
We keep information for as long as a member uses the service. If you would like your number and messages deleted, reply STOP and email hello@letshello.com, or ask the friend who added you to remove you. Opt-out records are kept so that we do not text you again.
Children
Let’s Hello is not intended for anyone under 13.
