Getting texts from Let’s Hello
Let’s Hello only texts people who have agreed to hear from the friend who added them, and people who signed up themselves.
- How you opt in: you tell a friend it’s OK to text you about hanging out and they add your number; or you text JOIN to the Let’s Hello number; or you enter your own mobile number in the sign-up form on this page or in the app. The first message from any friend is a welcome text that says who it’s from.
- What you get: one welcome text, hangout invitations from friends who added you (each one says who it’s from), at most one follow-up per invitation if you haven’t replied, one reminder on the day for plans you said yes to, a single optional invite to join after your first reply, one text when your early-access spot is ready if you signed up here, and a sign-in code when you ask for one. Message frequency varies.
- No account needed: replying YES or NO by text always works. Joining is free and optional, and lets you show when you’re free.
- How to stop: reply STOP at any time and nobody on Let’s Hello can text you again. Reply START to rejoin, or HELP for help.

Do my friends have to download anything?
No. They get a normal text and reply YES or NO. After their first reply they get one optional invite to join, and if they ignore it nothing changes.
Is it really free?
Yes. Let’s Hello is free for you and your friends. Your phone carrier’s normal message and data rates may apply.
Why is there a list?
We’re letting people in a few at a time while we get started. You’ll get one text when your spot is ready. Already have an invite link from a friend? Open it and you can join straight away.
Will you text my contacts without asking?
Never. Let’s Hello only texts the friends you pick, about plans you make. If you want to invite someone to join, that message goes from your own phone, not from us.
What do you do with my number?
We use it to text you when your spot is ready and to sign you in. We don’t sell it or share it for marketing. Reply STOP any time.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Let’s Hello runs in your phone’s browser, and you can add it to your home screen like an app. It works with US mobile numbers for now.
